Harrison's is without doubt one of the best books I've read so far. He explains, even if rather brief, everything from basic Physiology, biochemistry to molecular genetics. I agree that there are thousands of great books. I use Mansons or Mandell and douglas for Infectious Diseases. Kuby for Immunology. Brenner and Rector for Reference for Renal system. Braunwald for heart. Zakim and Boyer's Hepatology. Wintrobes Hematology. Of course. These are the names of the best books Ive come across so far. But you can explore yourself. Go to a medical library and sift through. Have fun learning.
