As a high school student, I’ve come to see the Juul become a popular device among teens. It’s a vape that has 5% nicotine in one pod, and each pod is equivalent to one pack of cigarettes or 200 puffs (without the use of tobacco). Although there is no tobacco, the pods contain glycerol, propylene glycol, nicotine, flavoring and benzoic acid, a natural ingredient found in tobacco plants. However the juul hasn’t been around long enough to see long term results. If a person around the age of 15-19 started inserting nicotine and these other chemicals into their body on a daily basis, what might be the long term affect?
