I have been hearing that medical schools do not want students who were in premed, but those who differentiated their studies. Someone recommended me to double major in Plan 2 neuroscience and Business (what I love as well). This is simply because medical schools don’t want premed students who may have bad habits. They want a “clean slate” for students new to the medical field so they do not develop bad habits. Anybody know anything about this?
Of course I would have to take the classes needed for medical school, however I simply would not be in premed.
I think they prefer this also because they want a “well rounded individual.”
