MR Abdominal Imaging

MR Abdominal Imaging – Essential of Timing @ Siemens 1.5T Aera These two dynamics (upper row and lower row) were performed a few months in-between. Take a closer look at the hyper vascular enhancement of the lesion in the pancreas (red arrow). This was done in late arterial phase (enhancement of portal vein – blue arrow). Lower row the arterial phase was done in somewhere between early and mid - arterial phase. The lesion is also visible on lower row, but more difficult to distinguish. Same scanner on both exams, almost same amount of contrast and same extracellular contrast agent. Side note: upper row has higher resolution than lower row. Take home point: a few seconds early or late on the timing, can give different image results. #s_mri #siemens #mri #liver_imaging #gadolinium
