A 62 year old man with Ischemic Heart Disease(With NYHA class II) needs a below knee injury amputation for a gangrenous foot. He has a hemoglobin of 8g/dL. WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING IS APPROPRIATE. 1. Group and save blood to transfuse post operatively, if bleeding is excessive. 2. No need to transfuse can give crystalloid like Ringers Lactate. 3. No need to transfuse can give colloids like Gelofusine. 4. Transfuse immediately to optimize hemoglobin to above 10g/dL. 5. No need for fluid as one needs prevent causing congestive cardiac failure due to volume overload.
