Body Mass Index, or BMI, is a screening method to determine the weight of an individual according to their physique. According to the scale of BMI, a person is categorized as underweight, healthy weight, overweight or obese. This criterion helps physicians and pharmacists in multiple ways. BMI proves to be quite useful but it is not a final screening tool to diagnose someone with a metabolic condition. A physician orders further assessments and inquires medical history, family history and details about diet and physical activity to reach to a conclusion. The formula to calculate BMI is: BMI=(Mass of Body (kg))/(Height of Body (m))
