Spinejack is a revolutionary treatment used for vertebral fractures. It uses bilateral expandable titanium implants that resembles a car jack which are supplemented with bone cement. This system uses less cement than balloon kyphosplasty and provides a more symmetrical and balanced anterior and lateral support. Spinejack system also allows one to take full control of the implant placement and expansion, reducing the vertebral pain and restoring the anatomy of the vertebrae. The kits that the system uses comes in three sizes: • 4.2 mm kit is used for 5.0-5.8 mm of pedicle diameter • 5.0 mm kit is used for 5.8-6.6 mm of pedicle diameter • 5.8 mm kit is used for 6.6 mm or greater pedicle diameter The different sizes of the equipment allows various anatomies and fracture types to be accommodated. The spinkeJack implant expands in a craniocaudal direction, combatting the compression forces of the spine up to 1000 N of expansion force.
