Humans have an exclusive relationship with food. Food is where we derive our physical and mental energy. We eat food to refill our batteries with energy and to lift our moods. The taste of food greatly influences our mood. Everyone bears stress at several moments of life and in those sensitive moments people offer food to provide comfort. Repetitively eating comfort food builds a connection of the person through tough times. Moreover, food is concerned with weight and energy. A person may have sufficient level of energy to pass next few hours but the thought of skipping last meal convinces them that they are low at energy and they can’t move ahead or think straight because they need food. Similarly, weight gain and loss combined is a huge aspect of food consumption. Eat to put on weight and skip meals to lose weight. This is another psyche that convinces a person to starve or binge eat till it affects their otherwise health.
