Blood pressure is the pressure of blood circulating in vessels due to heart contraction. Normal blood pressure range is systolic 120 and diastolic 80 mmHg. Hypertensive stage 1 is 130-139 systolic and 80-89 diastolic. Stage 2 is 140 or higher systolic and 90 or above diastolic. Hypertensive crisis is an emergency 180 and higher systolic and 120 and higher diastolic.
