The different positioning sites for implanted pulse generator include: • Upper buttock- both electrode and generator can be placed together in a prone position. • Abdomen- usually performed when the patient is in lateral position • Infraclavicular regions- lateral or supine position are necessary for this location • Infrascapular regions- lateral or supine position are necessary for this location. The procedure takes place under general anesthesia and local anesthesia at the site of incision. And a specific personnel is appointed by the manufacturer to for device programming and maintenance.
