Classification of Shoulder Joint Instability

Glenohumeral joint instability is classified broadly into 3 major groups: 1. Traumatic - there is a history of significant trauma - surgery is effective in these cases 2. Non-traumatic - multidirectional subluxation - surgery is successful 3. Habitual - refers to individuals who can dislocate shoulder voluntarily - counselling is imperative - surgery is contraindicated Reference: Bailey and Love's Short Practice of Surgery Image via: https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fcoreem.net%2Fcore%2Fshoulder-dislocation%2F&psig=AOvVaw2ATsn3g26LOBUq_p4BUVMx&ust=1644341857993000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAsQjRxqFwoTCPDe0O2Q7vUCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAe
