Computerized Tomography (CT) scan is a non-invasive and painless procedure to determine the status of blood vessels. It determines narrowing of blood vessels by atherosclerosis as it detects calcium deposits in the atherosclerotic plaques. This prevents the symptoms and complications to develop. Due to this specificity, CT scan for heart diseases is also called calcium-store screening heart scan.
