Thyroid problems interfere with menstruation.To give a quick check, analyse; • Is your age 40+? Menopause is likely to start in 40s. • Do you have any of the following signs and symptoms? If so, it may be hypothyroidism and not menopause. • Fatigue • Sensitivity to cold • Weight gain • Muscle cramps • Brittle hair • Depression • Slow movements and thoughts • Dry and scaly skin • Constipation • Loss of libido • Numbness and tingling sensation in hands and fingers • Irregular and/or heavy periods
