Babies are at greater risk of heat rash because they have small sweat glands. if you notice, babies sweat mildly that is because their sweat glands and ducts are small. Therefore they block easily even in moderately elevated temperature. Moreover, mothers tend to protect their child with with several layers of clothing and tightly wrapped diapper and clothes. In such condition, their body poorly regulates heat and the baby ends up with heat rash.
