Infants are at high risk of UTI. They present with classic symptoms of UTI as well as fever, odd-smelling urine, decreased food intake, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, and fussy behavior. Changing soiled diapers and wiping from front to back minimizes the risk of UTI. In case of delay in treatment, they are at high risk to develop kidney infections resulting in kidney failure.
