Findings of brain study in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are • High activation of lower-order structures of brain involved in the mediation of sensory and primary motor processing • Reduced activation of high-order structures i.e. fusiform, amygdala, cingulated, insula, fusiform affecting social interactions • Reduced activation of pre-frontal cortex • Hypoconnectivity between the parts of rbain forming sulci between them • Reduced size of cerebellum
