Myxedema coma is a clinical manifestation of severe hypothyroidism. The patient is usually elderly with myxematous facies i.e., loss of lateral eyebrows, periorbital edema, etc. The patient may also have seizures and hypothermia. Laboratory investigations indicate hyponatremia and hypoglycemia.
