Azulfidine (Sulfasalazine) For ulcerative colitis; • Adults: 3,000–4,000 mg/day no more than 8 hours apart • Children: 40–60 mg/kg of body weight per day For rheumatoid arthritis; • 500–1,000 mg/day For juvenile rheumatoid arthritis; • 30–50 mg/kg of body weight per day
