How do I know if it is a potty training accident or UTI?
Children are hesitant to go to bathroom for the fear of burning and painful urination. They become fussy, scream and cry at the mention of going to bathroom. Since children can't express the symptoms to their mothers and caretakers therefore, parents don't realize the cause of behavior. They consider it to be a potty training accident. If you suspect UTI in your child, look for fever, vomiting, reduced food intake and painful expressions during urination.
