Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) is a condition characterized by pooling of blood in veins causing stasis. This condition develops due to inadequate functioning of venous valves preventing the return of blood to heart. CVI develops in legs producing prominent signs of pain, cramps, swelling, varicose veins, leg ulcers and skin changes.
