Alcohol consumption causes chronic diseases such as liver disease ultimately leading to cancer, tuberculosis, pneumonia and cardiovascular diseases. Decline is health status not only challenges the sufferer but also the family. It comes with huge cost in the form of bills. Alcohol consumption is also concerned with developing irrational behavior pattern. Behavioral and mental disorders from aggressive and frustrated mood to violence and road accidents give huge setback to sufferer and the family. Alcohol addiction breaks families and relationships and pushes the alcoholic towards hostile corner of society. Alcohol consumption also needs money. It becomes financial stress especially in middle- and low- income families.
