Acupuncture is a traditional alternate treatment strategy for various disorders. Apparently, it is painful but actually, it is not. People who rely on acupuncture needles for relief from pain, stress and certain diseases report minimal hurt. The pain, more likely soreness and slight discomfort, is tolerable and feels soothing after some time. When the needle prick into body there is a sensation but that is not synonymous to pain or hurt. It may be muscle twitch, dull ache, muscle tightening, itchiness, warmth and soreness. The beginning is noticeable for many people especially when it is their first time but later into the process, they barely feel anything. They become comfortable and the procedure seems like a massage.
