Moebius syndrome: It is a congenital neurological disorder and a very rare disease characterized by paralysis of the facial muscles and the inability to move the eyes from one side to the other. đĽSigns of illness đĽ 1- Deformities in the limbs and loss of one of the fingers of the hands or feet 2- Chest wall abnormalities 3- Difficulty breathing or swallowing 4- Corneal erosion caused by difficulty in blinking the eyes Symptoms: Children with Moebius disease suffer from: âď¸Delayed speech due to lip paralysis They may be diagnosed with autism or mental retardation because of their facial expressions and squints âď¸ They don't laugh, they don't smile and they don't even frown because their faces have no features because of the double seventh nerve palsy âď¸ They can't look right or left due to sixth nerve paralysis, the nerve responsible for moving the eye âď¸ Their voice is hoarse as a result of paralysis of the twelfth nerve, which is the nerve responsible for the muscles of the tongue
