What is included in the long-term monitoring of patients with adenovirus infections?
Long-term Monitoring of Adenovirus Patients In most of the cases Adenovirus infection is self-limited. Unless the patient is immuncompromised, Adenovirus infection has good prognosis and treatment limited to symptomatic relief resolves the infection. However, in adenovirus-related keratoconjunctivitis the patient requires a follow-up session after 2 weeks for the assessment of resolution. In adenovirus-related hemorrhagic cystitis, the patient should consult nephrologist or urologist in case of no resolution in 5 days.
