What is the difference between adenomyosis and endometriosis?
Adenomyosis is best described when the endometrium or the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus while on the other hand endometriosis occurs when the endometrium grows on the outside of the uterus.
Adenomyosis means addition of tissue within uterus and endometriosis means addition tissue outside the uterus
Adendo and endo are very similar conditions With endometriosis the endometrium grows outside of the uterus all over in the abdominal cavity With adendo, the tissue grows in between the muscle fibers Both cause inflammation and infertility, dysmenorrhea and A LOT of pain
