Gastroschisis

Gastroschisis is a congenital defect of abdominal wall where the contents of abdomen are doing lying outside the abdominal cavity through the defect. The cause of this condition is unknown. This condition is identified by using the ultrasound during the 2nd trimester of pregnancy Treatment is surgical where the contents are placed back inside the cavity and the defect is closed.
