Miscarried Fetus

Miscarried Fetus

A spontaneously aborted or miscarried fetus due to an ectopic pregnancy if the left Fallopian tube and ovary at 9 weeks’ gestation revealed by an exploratory laparotomy.  An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilized egg attaches itself in a place other than inside the uterus. Most ectopic pregnancies occur in the fallopian tube and are thus sometimes called tubal pregnancies. The fallopian tubes are not designed to hold a growing embryo; thus, the fertilized egg in a tubal pregnancy cannot develop properly. In these cases, the pregnancy can’t continue normally, and it requires emergency treatment due to the risk of rupture of the fallopian tube which will lead to major pain and severe internal bleeding, which puts the mother in a great risk of death.
