Placental abruption

Placental abruption is a condition where the placenta separates form the uterine wall. This results in painful bleeding from the vagina. The uterus becomes tender and hard with uterine contractions occurring one after another. TYPES Revealed abruption: Abruption with visible bleeding from the vagina Concealed abruption: Formation of retroplacental clot without visible bleeding.
