What are clinical findings of corticosteroids used in epidural steroid injections (ESIs)?
According to a study, corticosteroids have the following findings. - Dexamethasone; particles show no aggregation, contain few particles and their size is 5-10 times smaller than red blood cells. - Triamcinolone: particles form aggregations, contain densely packed particles and their size varies greatly. - Betamethasone: particles form aggregations, contain densely packed particles and their size varies greatly. - Methylprednisolone: particles don’t form aggregations, contain densely packed particles of uniform size but as compared to red blood cells, their size is smaller.
