This is an Animated Video explaining the deviated nasal septum. A bend in the normal septum separating the two halves of the nasal cavity may be largely asymptomatic. However, it may also cause nasal obstruction leading to breathing difficulties, recurrent attacks of sinusitis and pharyngitis, headache, and loss of sense of smell. If symptoms are too troublesome, it can be corrected via a minor surgery- septoplasty.
