What are CDC recommendations for influenza vaccination?
For all people of age 6 months or older, CDC recommends influenza vaccination every year. However it does not prefer one vaccine over the other. All approved vaccines (llV, RIV4 and LAIV4) can be employed.
CDC recommends flu vaccine to everyone older than 6 months annually. CDC does not recommend one flu shot over another. CDC recommends only licensed and age-appropriate flu vaccine i.e. RIV4, IIV and LAIV4.
