In upper limb examination different muscle groups and nerves supplying them are tested. On shoulder abduction muscles tested include deltoid and nerve tested is axillary nerve. On shoulder adduction muscle tested is teres major, latismus dorsi and pectoralis major, nerve tested is thoracodorsal nerve. On elbow flexion Muscles tested is brachialis and biceps and nerve tested is musculocutenous and radial nerve. Extension on elbow tests triceps muscle and radial nerve.
