Indications for Antiviral Therapy in Inpatient Population • Initiate within 48 hour in suspected and confirm cases of influenza • May continue for more than 5 days depending upon the severity of illness • Administration of Zanamivir is not possible in young children, patients with underlying respiratory conditions and intubated patients
