What are the remedies available for teething?
Teething age is 4 to 7 months. There are no specific signs but babies get fussy, gums are swollen and tender, slight raise in body temperature, diarrhea, they try to chew on everything, they drool a lot and change in sleep and feeding habits. Home techniques used to soothe babies through the process include giving them something cold and clean to chew on such as: tethers, clean spoon, wet cloth or a cold teething toy. Sometimes a hard cracker is given. Sipping on cold drinks can be helpful as well. Do not use liquid filled toys for teething. Certain over the count gels are available to numb the gums and are safe. It is suggested to use a clean wet wash cloth to keep the baby teeth clean.
