What is creatine ?
Creatine is a substance that is found in body as creatine phosphate. It is used to make ATP which provides energy in muscle contraction. Creatine is obtained from high protein diet. Many companies provide it in supplement form to enhance physical performance and increase lean muscle mass. Even though the use of these supplements is popular there is no research available that proves benefits. On the other hand side effects include: weight gain, anxiety, shortness of breath, diarrhea, fatigue, fever, headache, renal diseases and rash.
