Tourniquet Test for Dengue Evaluation 1. Take patient’s blood pressure. 2. Inflate the cuff midway between systolic and diastolic blood pressure for 5 minutes. 3. Reduce the inflation and wait for 2 minutes. 4. The test is positive for 10 or more petechiae square inch.
