Pathophysiology of Anaphylaxis • Sensation phase - Immune system produces IgE against allergin - No occurrence of clinical features • Effector phase - On the surface of mast cells, the allergin cross-links IgE - Wide spread degranulation - Release of histamine mediates inflammatory response i.e. bronchospasm, vasodilation, high capillary permeability, tissue edema
