What information about dengue should patients be given?
Education to Patients about Dengue • Dengue is not a deadly disease as long as you keep yourself hydrated, well-nourished and take your medicines on time as directed by the doctor. The prognosis is very good. • Avoid going outdoors where a mosquito can bite you. Remember, if the same mosquito bites someone else the infection can transmit to them. • Use mosquito repellants, peridomestic vector control and net to keep the mosquitoes away. • If you have history of dengue, take extra care of diet, rest and medicines because such patients are more likely to develop complications.
