Cutis verticis gyrata is a condition characteristized by the thickening and folding of the scalp into convulated folds and furrows that resembles the folds of the brain. It a progressive in nature and is more common in males. The condition is classified into two types: Primary Cutis verticis gyrata: Idiopathic Secondary Cutis verticis gyrata: Due to underlying disorders like acromegaly, melanocytic nevi and inflammatory processes.
