CREST syndrome

CREST syndrome refers to a constellation of features that accompany systemic sclerosis. Patients present with features as mentioned above. Unfortunately, for most symptoms especially esophageal dysfunction and Raynaud's phenomenon, only symptomatic therapy plays some role. Systemic sclerosis is an autoimmune connective tissue disorder characterized by excess fibrosis and thickening of the skin and even visceral organs.
