Any cures for severe acne? (other than any over the counter medications)
No diary products, drink more water, keep skin clean and hydrated, cut alcohol and more fresh natural foods. Also make sure u are getting enough rest
I tried numerous over the counter medications and I finally went to the dermatologist and they prescribed accutane. This is one of the most extreme medications for acne, and you must get blood work done once a month for this medicine because if you fall pregnant, it can do damage to an unborn fetus. It also dries your lips out a lot. Other than dry lips, that’s the only real side effect of the medicine. You take it in increments of 6 months, and you take a pill once a day. Even though you have to get blood work done and it dries your lips out, I really think this medication was worth it because it cleared my acne for good. (I had really bad, cystic acne for about 5-6 years before this).
I know you said no over the counter, but this was the only solution to my severe acne
