Mosquitoes use their Antena to smell CO2 and they fly over to that direction. So basically, CO2 and heat and smell of body can attract mosquitoes to a target. And only female mosquitoes bite for blood which is needed for laying eggs. Male mosquitoes drink nectar from plants.
