How is the patient positioned for an infraorbital nerve block?
The patient should lie on their back on a stretcher or sit comfortably in a chair.
Position of patient In intraoral approach, prefer a seated position. In this position, maxillary occlusal plane forms an angle of 45-degree with the floor. In extraoral approach, prefer a seated position and ask the patient to look straight ahead so you can palpate the infraorbital foramen.
