Describe the conducting system of the human heart
Contractions are initiated in the sinoatrial node at the mouth of the superior vena cava to the right atrium. The resulting impulse shifts, causing a contraction atria. Then it passes through the atrioventricular node, from where it moves with the bundle of His to Purkinje fibers branching in both chambers. The ventricles contract.
its simply a specific group of heart cells that has the ability to produce and distribute rhythmic electrical impulses that cause the heart to contract.
