Administration of Transforaminal ESIs The needle of ESIs is placed ventral and superior to the exiting nerve and dorsal root ganglion and below the pedicle of neuroforamen. Here, the safest approach is to proceed through the safe triangle. It is an imaginary triangle which provides safest route for administration. Insert the needle under anteroposterior and lateral views to obtain a 3D spatial representation.
