Treatment of BPH is based on both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approach. Pharmacological approach focuses on: - Alpha Blockers e.g. Tamsulosin, Silodosin, Alfuzosin - 5 Alpha Reductase Inhibitors e.g. Finasteride, Dutasteride - Combination Drug Therapy i.e. take alpha blocker and 5 alpha reductase inhibitor together. - Tadalafil Surgical approach focuses on: - Transurethral Resection of Prostrate (TURP) - Transurethral Incision of Prostrate (TUIP) - Transurethral Microwave Thermotherapy (TUMT) - Transurethral Needle Ablation (TUNA) - Water-induced thermotherapy (WIT) - Water-induced thermotherapy (WIT) - Photoselective Vaporization (PVP) - Laser Therapy i.e. Ablative procedure and enucleative procedure - Prostatic Urethral Lift (PUL) - Embolization - Open or Robot-assisted Prostatectomy -
