Meniere’s Disease

Meniere’s disease is a disorder affecting inner ear. The cause is idiopathic. However, the symptoms of Meniere’s disease arise due to fluid build up inside the labyrinth. The common symptoms of Meniere’s disease are: - vertigo - dizziness - tinnitus - sense of fullness in ear - gradual hearing loss Hearing aid is the cornerstone of management. Diuretics may help reduce the fluid build-up inside the labyrinth. Vertigo is treated by drugs for motion sickness.
