Otitis Media with Effusion

Otitis media with effusion (OME) is an ear disorder in which due to a rapid decrease in middle ear pressure in relation to the atmospheric pressure there is collection of nonpurulent effusion in the middle ear cavity. This condition usually manifests as mild to moderate hearing loss or sensation of fullness in the ear.
