Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) is an infrequent condition that arises in a monozygotic pregnancy state. It is a disorder of placenta in which due to disordered vessel connections within the placenta the blood starts flowing unevenly, with one fetal twin receiving too much blood (recipient) and one receiving too little (donor). This condition can result in the donor twin getting growth retardation due to insufficient nutrition and oxygen and the recipient twin getting volume over-load and heart failure state.
