Retinoblastoma is a rare cancer of eye that develops from multipotential precursor cells. This malignancy develops in childhood and involves mutation of Chromosome 13 band 13q14. Signs and symptoms includes leucocoria, vision deterioration, glaucoma, strabismus, redness, swelling and even blindness. Poor child, the pain must have been hurrindous. Did he recover well, was there radiation treatments involved? Was it completely removed and did it come back. Is this type of cancer hereditary or environmental?
